I Felt the Sky

About

Hello there!

A little bit about me starts with my love for art, being around it, studying it, and mostly making it, as far back as I can remember. I used to love drawing dinosaurs as a kid which grew into a love for sculpture, installations, and site specific art in my college years.   My semi-secrect life is that of creating needle felted soft sculptures.  I found needle felting by accident in a knitting store a few years ago and have never looked back.  Wool is so versatile, and portable,  you can create nearly anything you imagine. Once I started poking the wool into odd shapes I didn’t stop. Wool can be a very forgiving medium, you can add and remove bits as you go giving shape to whatever you may be poking into existence.

My more formal background is in Visual Art with a concentration in Sculpture. My day job is in a cubicle. Over the years I have moved several times originally from the Midwest, and have settled in the Northeast.

Cheers!

I’m Bridget

I have been needle felting for over a decade among many other artsy endeavors over the years (lots of years) and somewhat recently ventured into what I would call yarn wrapping thrifted items or clearance craft supplies that are generally the overlooked misfits destined for the bin. I firmly believe bringing a little color into your life will bring joy to an otherwise sad space, such as a dull cubicle, empty shelf, mantle, or just about any space imaginable needing a pick me up.
